Begin your guided tour at St. Mark’s Basilica, one of Italy’s most important examples of Byzantine art. Inside, see the gold mosaics and marble floors while your guide explains the history and key features of this landmark.
Continue to the Doge’s Palace, once the center of government of the Venetian Republic. Walk through its main rooms, view works by Titian, Veronese, and Tintoretto, and learn how Venice was governed for centuries.
