Meet your guide in the Plaza de las Descalzas, right in front of the entrance gate to the Monasterio Las Descalzas.
Enjoy a detailed explanation of its fabulous facade and exterior, and gaze around you at the beautiful interiors, Step into the cloister, home to the annual Procession of the Holy Burial, which takes place every year on Good Friday.
Don't miss the main staircase, considered by many to be the monument's real jewel. Its wall paintings were added at different times and on the ceiling, an impressive painting is attributed to Claudio Coello.
Visit the Tapestry Room and the Choir Room and see many interesting features, from plateresque doors to countless works of priceless art and paintings by some of the greatest painters in history, such as Zurbarán, Antonio Moro and Luca Giorda.
